Baby Donkey Update
So many of you were so kind in supporting us when our Myka was born and had to be rushed to the hospital (you can read about her initial situation here, and there are stories of her recuperation here, here and here).
We promised that we would continue to update our friends on how she’s doing. Well, there is good news and there is bad…
The good news is that she’s fully recovered! The bad news is, we are pretty sure that she’s terribly confused and thinks that she is a puppy, and not a jenny (“jenny” is another name for a female donkey)!
Click below to watch a video of Myka now and tell us what you think. Do you think there is hope she might recover her sanity?
And be sure to leave a message in our comments section if you feel you know a good child donkey therapist who might be able to help us out…

Most of my friends and a lot of my clients know that my family and I are “big time” animal lovers. But I have not done a lot of talking about it except in the last couple of months. Lately I have been talking a lot about our work with the Wildlife Waystation, and also, about the farm animals we have on our Malibu property.
I want to keep the focus of this email on Myka. But we have not forgotten about you and your needs. If there is anything that we can help you with in terms of gates, fences, locksmith services, security cameras and lighting, intercoms, or any other home or residential security concerns, please give us a call at Mulholland Security Centers. 1-800-562-5770. Here are the links to our gates gallery, and here is a link to the Mulholland Security Site. You can also reach me directly on my cell at 1-818-266-6930.
Myka is just a new breed of puppy/donkey love. No shrink needed. She may be a bit depressed over the fact her very own donkey sign was ripped off. Hope our camera sees who did it. In the meanwhile, give our baby a big puppy hug from her Aunt Deb. 🙂
Dear Avi,
I spoke with you last year about a gate for my home in Manhattan Beach. Though I have decided to look at less expensive security options, I have enjoyed your e-mails about your animal family. So glad to hear that your little donkey is doing well. Thank you for update.
Good people have good hearts.
Regards,
Paulette
