We had a wonderful neighborhood get-together with our neighbors on Thursday, January 8th. I’ve sent out a “thank you” to all of you who left an email address: if you know of anyone who was left out, would you email them a link to this post and relay to them as well, our thanks?
Here follows a few short videos from the get-together, followed by an excerpt from an email that I sent to all who attended.
Here is a brief “overview” video.
Here is video of people arriving, and the spread of food:
I remembered to turn the video on a little late in the presentation, here is the first video of Martine’s talk:
The talk continues, with information about lab chimps that have been rescued:
The last video of the talk:
And here is the thank you note we sent out to all the attendees, in case you missed it:
We’re writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for sharing your evening with us this last Thursday, the 8th of January.
We hope you enjoyed the food! We certainly enjoyed your company, and it was fun to see good friends and make some new ones.
(Avi wants you to know he wants to get past being just “the new kid on the block” and hopes you will stay in touch and let him know if you “need a cup of sugar”, so to speak. He very much appreciated your friendly and open attitude…)
And we know you enjoyed hearing from Martine Colette about the Wildlife Waystation!
We’re sure you’ll agree that she is a very special person with a very deep commitment to rescuing animals from suffering and abusive circumstances.
Would you like to help?
Build more awareness of the Wildlife Waystation! Do like we did, and arrange a party at your home. As we get the word out more and more, there will be more people volunteering their time and more people helping cover their operating expenses.
Most of us are very busy… what else is new? We were all busy too, but throwing a small party? We all know that’s not too big a deal. It’s “pull-off-able”, isn’t it?
If your conscience seems to be “calling you” and asking you to play a role in this, please call Avi (818-266-6930), and he’ll help you get started, and get the right connections to make it successful.
Thanks again. Hope we’ll all be seeing each other again very soon.
Avi, Jessica, Debbie
Thanks everyone!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Love you,
Deb and Tom 🙂
Thank you so much for your contribution to this as well. We would have not this success without your help. I very much enjoyed working with you
